The Herpetological Diversity Group focuses on diversification and speciation processes in amphibians and reptiles using phylogeographic approaches at the intersection between population genomics and phylogenomics. As correct species delimitation is crucial for further eco-evolutionary studies, and especially for nature conservation management, the main aim of our research is to better understand the real, and often still overlooked, diversity of herpetofauna in the context of the evolutionary history of this group of vertebrates. Geographically, we focus our attention primarily on the Western Palearctic (Europe, western Asia, North Africa) and tropical Africa.
