Durham University in the UK is offering a PhD position led by renowned primatologist Joanna Setchell (Durham University) in collaboration with Barbora Pafčo (Institute of Vertebrate Biology, Czech Academy of Sciences).
What’s the focus?
This project delves into the gut microbiome of mandrills living in semi-captive conditions in Gabon. Mandrills inhabit a semi-natural ecosystem, providing an exceptional opportunity to study a wide range of biological and environmental impacts.
What will you do?
You’ll work on preparing NGS libraries, analyzing data, and interpreting results under the guidance of two expert supervisors.
📅 Application Deadline for International Candidates: Monday, December 9, 2024.
